She took my hand, we ran
Across fields of clover and mint
Toward the strawberry sky
Falling fast behind the trees
We fell at the edge of our lives
And sat for an eternity
Laughing about how much we cry
More stars in her eyes than in the sky
She threw her head back to scream
But did not make a sound
Shook the blonde out of her hair Time turned and ran
